lpm — privacy policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

1. Who we are

lpm is practice management software for firms of solicitors and other legal services providers regulated in England and Wales. It is provided by REM Enterprises Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under number 16259270, whose registered office is at 78 Thorndon Avenue, West Horndon, Brentwood, CM13 3TS ("we", "us").

This address, staging.lpm-clinic-test.co.uk, serves lpm's test environment. It holds test data only, and no real client's information is held here.

2. Whose data, and our role

A firm that uses lpm decides what information about its clients, matters and people it records in lpm. For that information the firm is the controller, and we process it only on the firm's instructions, under a written agreement with the firm. If you are a client of a firm, or work for one, questions about that information should go first to the firm.

We are the controller of the smaller set of information we need to run lpm itself: the accounts people use to sign in, the records that keep sign-in secure, and the details of the firms we bill.

3. Signing in with Google

A firm whose people use Google Workspace can let them sign in to lpm with their Google account. When you do, Google tells us:

We use that information only to sign you in to lpm safely. We check that your account belongs to the Workspace your firm has declared to us, and refuse it if it does not. We also refuse a personal Google account, an account from another Workspace and an address Google has not verified. The first time you sign in, we store the Google account identifier against your lpm account, so that later sign-ins are matched on it rather than on your email address.

We never receive your Google password. We do not ask Google for your contacts, your calendar, your email, your files or your photograph when you sign in.

We do not sell information we receive from Google, use it for advertising, or use it to train artificial intelligence models, and we do not pass it to anyone except the service providers named in section 5, who process it only for us. lpm's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Where your information is held and for how long

lpm runs on Microsoft Azure in its UK South region, and your information is held in the United Kingdom.

We keep the Google account identifier for as long as your lpm account exists. When your firm removes you, or your account is closed, we delete it within 30 days. We keep records of sign-ins for 12 months, to protect accounts and to investigate misuse, and then delete them.

5. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run lpm. Microsoft hosts lpm and its data on Azure in the United Kingdom. Google provides the sign-in described in section 3. We never use client data to train artificial intelligence models.

6. Our lawful basis

We use sign-in information because it is necessary to provide lpm under our agreement with your firm, and because we have a legitimate interest in keeping accounts secure.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or restrict how we use it, and you can object to our using it. For information your firm holds in lpm, ask your firm, and we will help it answer. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at https://ico.org.uk, although we would be grateful for the chance to put things right first.

8. Contact

Write to REM Enterprises Limited at 78 Thorndon Avenue, West Horndon, Brentwood, CM13 3TS, or email admin@lpm-clinic-test.co.uk.

9. Changes

We will change this policy when what lpm does with personal information changes, and the date at the top will say when it last changed.
